ContractorCompliance gives your office one place to track licenses, insurance, certifications, permits, equipment inspections, and supporting documents. After you sign in, you land in a workspace scoped to your company—everything you see belongs to that organization.

Create your workspace

New accounts go through onboarding before the main app opens. You confirm company details (name, type, team size), choose a beta plan if applicable, and pick what you want to track first—licenses, insurance, employee certs, permits, equipment inspections, documents, or a blank dashboard.

What to track first

Onboarding walks you through company setup and your first tracking focus.
  1. 1

Sign in or accept your invite

Direct sign-ups create a new organization. Team invite links add you to an existing workspace without repeating company setup.

  2. 2

    Complete onboarding

Finish the setup form once. ContractorCompliance records onboarding completion on your organization so you are not prompted again.

  3. 3

    Follow the suggested next step

Based on your tracking focus, you may be sent to Renewals with the add dialog open, to Team to add employees, to Documents to upload files, or to the Dashboard for a blank start.

Understand the dashboard

The dashboard summarizes compliance health: expired items, expiring soon, on track counts, upcoming expirations, recent documents, and reminder activity. A setup guide appears for new workspaces until you add records or dismiss it.

Demo mode

The public demo at /demo/dashboard uses sample data so you can explore without creating an account. Demo mode is read-only for destructive actions and exits from the user menu.

Add your first renewal

  • Open Renewals from the sidebar or use Add renewal on the dashboard.
  • Enter a title, category, assignee, expiration date, and optional notes.
  • Default email reminders are scheduled 30, 14, and 7 days before expiration—you can change these per record or in Settings → Reminder Defaults.
  • Attach proof documents during creation or link them later from Documents.

Configure categories and reminders

Settings → Categories lets you hide, rename, or add compliance categories. Settings → Reminder Defaults controls the default reminder schedule and additional recipient emails who receive expiration reminders alongside the workspace owner.
