Renewals are the core compliance records in ContractorCompliance. Each renewal has a title, category, assignee, expiration date, status, reminder schedule, notes, and optional linked documents.
How status is calculated
- On Track — expiration is more than 30 days away.
- Expiring — expiration is within 30 days (including today).
- Expired — expiration date is in the past.
Status updates automatically from the expiration date. Changing a date can trigger in-app Activity notifications when a record moves between expiring, expired, or completed states.
Add a renewal
- 1
Open Add renewal
Use the button on the Renewals page or dashboard. Onboarding may deep-link you here with a category pre-selected (for example, license or insurance).
- 2
Fill in record details
Choose a category, assign to the company or a team member, set the expiration date, and add notes your office will need at renewal time.
- 3
Set reminders
Default reminders apply from workspace settings. Adjust days-before-expiry per record in the add or edit dialog.
- 4
Attach documents
Upload proof at creation time or link existing files from your document library.
View, edit, and delete
Click any row to open the renewal detail sheet. From there you can review status, expiration, assignee, attached documents, and the reminder schedule. Edit updates all fields and document links. Delete requires confirmation and removes the record from reports and Activity references.
Email reminders vs in-app Activity
Expiration reminder emails are controlled in Settings → Email Notifications. In-app Activity alerts (expiring, expired, completed) appear in the Activity feed and bell menu regardless of email toggles.
